Sun National Bank

Switch to Sun

Use our simple, online Switch Kit allows you to switch to Sun with ease from the comfort of your home.

You just need a few minutes. Click on the “Open an Account” button and follow these 4 steps to a great relationship with Sun National Bank!

  1. Complete the applicant information section.
  2. Answer some brief questions that help us verify who you are (to provide extra security for your information).
  3. Fund your account (transfer from another bank account, transfer from an existing Sun account, or mail a check).
  4. Change your direct deposit and automatic withdrawals, and close your other account.

Helpful Tip: To keep you organized when switching to Sun, please gather some information before starting the application process (Social Security Number, valid U.S. driver’s license, current email address, materials for funding your new account, such as checkbook, bank account number, or account number from another financial institution).

Please note: You cannot apply for business, trust, power of attorney, beneficiary or individual retirement accounts or accounts for minors (i.e. primary account owners under age 18).

Switch to Sun at a branch or by phone

You can also open an account by visiting any of our branch offices or by calling (800) 786-9066.  Just complete these Switch Kit forms and bring them to your local Sun branch or have them handy when you call!

Change your Direct Deposit:

  • For Payroll Direct Deposit, simply complete our Authorization of Direct Deposit form. In addition to this form, be sure to provide your employer with a voided Sun National Bank check and remember to verify with your employer as to when your direct deposit will begin.
  • For Government Direct Deposit, please complete the direct deposit form below that’s applicable, and mail it to the address listed on the form. Be sure to have your new Sun checks with you for access to your new account and routing number.

Change your Automatic Withdrawals

  • If you have automatic withdrawals from your previous account, complete our Authorization of Withdrawals form. Once the form is completed, mail it to your creditors or other service providers. You may need several of these forms if you have more than one payee, so make as many copies as needed.

Close your Old Account

  • Once all of your checks and automatic withdrawals have cleared your account, it’s time to close it. Complete our Authorization to Close Account form and send it to your old bank.

To keep you organized when switching to Sun, please use our Switch Kit Planner, a tool that provides a quick glance at all of your account information (old and new).
